We have been thinking about who we would like to say a special Christmas prayer to over this festive period. Each child designed their own prayer to share with the class.
Festive Fun in Nursery

The children are using their fine motor skills to decorate wreaths, Christmas trees and snowmen this week. They are also wrapping gifts for under the tree and making magical reindeer food bags.
Snack
We love a good snack time in Reception. We enjoy a range of healthy snacks in class each afternoon and the children enjoy helping to prepare it. We practice our fine motor skills, by spreading butter and jam and pouring out our drinks, we practice maths, by working out if there are enough chairs…

This week Year 1 have been looking at the artist Piet Mondrian a Dutch painter. They created their own pieces of artwork using primary colours.
Physical Development in Nursery
The children have had lots of fun rolling, throwing, catching and balancing using the hoops, balls and quoits.
Why did the Vikings raid?
After learning about the Anglo-Saxons, the children looked at the Vikings arrival.
We discussed why the Vikings raided and explored misconceptions such as all Vikings were viscous.
Learning about networks
This term we have been learning about networks and their components. We have created presentations to explain how networks operate and the roles of the server, router , wireless access points and firewalls.
Year 2 Gymnastics
The children enjoyed practising jumps, rolls and balances on a range of apparatus.
Road Safety
Today the children worked in small groups to create a safety belt.
They had to ensure that it would be effective at meet the product design brief.
After, they assessed whether their belt had met the criteria of the brief.
Invitations to play, learn, investigate and explore
Our nursery is full of invitations to play, learn, investigate and explore but first thing in the morning we vary what we have out on our carpet area. Recently, the children have loved mark making and exploring shape on large sheets of paper.
Waiting in hope for the Lord
We read about the Annunciation and the Visitation.
The children then imagined what Mary and Elizabeth would say to each other after finding out they were both pregnant.
Retelling the Christmas Story in Nursery B
