Our basketball unit ended with a tournament. So many children have made fantastic progress and we've had great fun too.

This morning we have been learning about Diwali or the ‘Festival of Lights’ The children were very interested to hear how this is celebrated and we are going to be making our very own diva pots in class.  

After a big garden clear up in Nursery A this week, we have been busy planting some Spring bulbs.

We have been using oil pastels, chalk, paint and pencils to create ammonites. 

The children worked in small groups to complete a role on the wall activity describing the appearance and personality of the wolf in the story.

This half term we are reading The Gingerbread Man and this week we focused on him crossing the river. We placed a gingerbread man in water and watched what happened. The children could see how he floated at first but then began to crumble and break. They also noticed how the water changed colour…

The children made hedgehog bread rolls in nursery today.  They used skills of mixing, kneading, rolling and cutting.  They observed the dough rising and baking.  Nursery smelt amazing!  We hope our families enjoy the bread.
