On Wednesday 5th June, four children from Year 4 came with Mr Buckton to share their knowledge and learning around the topic of Volcanoes.
The children were able to explain the parts of the earth’s crust and showed a good level of knowledge around the subject of volcanoes.

"What can you tell me about volcanoes?"
"Some are active, some are dormant and some are extinct." (Luca)

The children particularly enjoyed using their Chromebooks to find out where volcanoes are and map them across the world.
They also enjoyed the lesson where they got to model the layers of the earth in plasticine!

"What is the difference between magma and lava?"
"Magma is molten rock in the earth and it's called lava when it comes out." (Lola)
