Reception Curriculum Map
Reading
Please try and read with your child every night for 5-10 minutes. Really focus on asking questions about their book as this will help them with their reading comprehension.
Finally, if there are any questions or concerns please feel free to speak to any of us before or after the school day.

Friendship bracelets
This week we are making friendship bracelets! We are talking about the friends we have made in Reception and what we like to do with them. We used our fine motor skills to thread beads onto the string.
Reflections of our time in Reception
This week the children are reflecting on our time in Reception. We have talked about what we have enjoyed, what we found tricky and all the activities we have loved. We then made dream catchers, threading wool, beads and feathers together thinking about our dreams and hopes for year 1.

Welcome to Receptions ice cream shop! The children had enjoyed some messy play this week, using shaving foam and food colouring to create an ice cream shop. The children have come up with so many flavours and stories. So much fun exploring!
