Today in maths, the children worked in groups to sift through a range of cards to help plan a school trip.
The children had to use lots of different skills to decipher and calculate the information before writing the letter that would be sent out to parents.

Investigating area and perimeter
In maths today, the children were investigating area and perimeter in compound shapes. We explored different ways to calculate the two measurements whilst also looking at ways to solve missing lengths in shapes.

Year 6 Sports Hall Athletics
Well done to the Year 6 children who took part in the South Sefton Sportshall Athletics event this week. They demonstrated excellent team work and gave 100% in all the track and field events.
Pumpkin Estimation Station
This week, the children have been estimating the mass of pumpkins.
They were given the weight of a medium sized pumpkin as a point of reference.
