This week in Mathematics, Year 5 have been learning about coordinates.
To show our understanding, the children played a game of Battleships against one another.

3-D shapes
Year 5 has been investigating 3-D shapes.
We were tasked with finding out how many faces, edges and vertices each 3-D shape had.
The children enjoyed working in pairs and handling the different shapes.
Maths Scavenger Hunt
Taking a break from our revision, Y6 took their maths learning onto the field. The children worked in small groups to hunt down the different clues around the field. Each answer would lead them to another clue which they needed to find. It was a race against time to solve all 20 clues!

Exploring Shapes and Puzzles in Nursery B
This week we are playing with shape puzzles and simple jigsaws in our continuous provision. Today we matched a range of objects to their shadows concentrating on the shapes we could see. We also played a matching numicon and numeral game together.
Exploring Shape Using Blossom
The children in Nursery A have been showing off their knowledge of shapes this week. We have been exploring different shapes and today collected blossom that has fallen from our beautiful nursery tree, to fill shapes and create different shapes on our own and in small groups.
Counting in Nursery B
The children have been practising counting up to 3 objects. We have used dots on plates to help the children to subitise up to 3 and show matching fingers. They have also used their counting skills to count objects around them. “Look, I have 3 daisies!”
