Self portraits using natural resources
As part of our RSHE work, the children have been looking at self - portraits and what makes us special and unique. The children then used loose parts to create a self portraits!

We have been learning about cross-hatching in art today. We used charcoal, pencils and pens to make the marks and smudged some of the marks with our fingers.

The children have been very busy in Year 1 this week looking at various textures. They looked at the materials and talked about the different textures before gluing them onto a flat surface.

Subtractive Drawing
We have been learning about subtractive drawing. This is an art technique that involves covering a surface with charcoal or graphite and then erasing parts of it to create an image.
The children focused on creating a setting or landscape in the style of Frank Auerbach.
Holy Family Taster Day

Today, the whole of Y6 visited HFCHS for our final transition day! The day was planned around the school’s upcoming production of Frozen later this term. The children were able to take part in lessons in drama, music and art.
