This week the children are exploring colour and colour mixing using paints and dinosaurs to create footprint patterns. When they have finished their patterns, they are bathing the dinosaurs in warm soapy water.

Today we have been investigating the effects that can be achieved by adding salt to a surface painted with watercolour.

Today the children used paints, brushes, string and teabags to create colourful firework paintings. They worked together and shared their ideas while exploring paint using different tools.

Today the children are having a fancy-dress day to raise money for the Good Shepherd Appeal. They are having lots of fun playing and painting together.
Painting in Different Ways in Nursery A
This term in nursery we have been exploring painting in different ways and different context. Last week we painted outside on tinfoil and took part in finger paining. This week the children painted to different pieces of music and they absolutely loved it.
Year 2 Peg Dolls
As part of our ‘Major Glad, Major Dizzy’ work in English, the children designed their own peg doll character and then made it using a range of materials.
Nursery Painting and Dancing to Music
This week the children have been exploring painting whilst listening to music. Today they asked to listen to the music again so they could dance together. We talked about the music saying if it was fast, slow, high, low, calming or energetic.

We have been learning about printmaking in Art this afternoon. We have been using over printing and relief printing to produce some wonderful artwork.
Nursery B Exploring Finger Painting
This half term the children are exploring finger painting. They are talking about the different colours and describing textures and shapes. Some children are creating their own images such as "my mummy", "a rainbow" and "hearts".
Making sculptures in art
We have been collecting natural things to use in our sculptures next week. We are looking at the artist Louise Bourgeois.
