As a year group we started our time learning by creating a horizontal number line from 0-12 and transferring this to a circular number line to represent a clock face. The children then used their 5 times table knowledge to add the minutes to the clock. We recapped over their Year 1 learning of o’clock when the minute hand is pointing at 12 and then we read some ‘minutes past’ times from the clock e.g. 5 minutes past, 15 minutes past, 30 minutes past, 55 minutes past.
