This week in our literacy work, the children have joined the Drawing Club! Our Drawing Club has been based on the book ‘The Christmas Pine’ and the aim is to spark the children’s imagination and develop language through creating “magic codes” like letters or words into their drawings. First we thought about the main characters, the setting and then it was time for adventure! We each created our own ‘Christmas Stinker’ who had stolen all the baubles off the tree! We wrote a secret code under our drawings to bring it to life. “If you press that word, he blasts off to space!” One child said.
