Nursery Christmas Party Day.
Nursery children have had a fun filled party day today. Both nurseries joined together in the hall for pass the parcel, musical statues and disco dancing. Children also enjoyed games and party food in their own nursery settings.
Nursery's Santa Dash
Today the children wore their Christmas jumpers and took part in the School Games Santa Dash event. They had lots of fun walking and running with their friends followed by a surprise visit to see Father Christmas. How exciting!
Arctic Animals
The children in nursery are interested in learning about animals that live in cold climates. We have looked at different animals that live in the Arctic including polar bears, snowy owls and arctic foxes. We have also been exploring what happens to ice as it melts.

Nursery Christmas Assembly
Our nursery children made a wonderful start to our Christmas assemblies today. In our special act of worship the children sang beautifully and reminded us all of the true meaning of Christmas. We are so proud of how amazing they all were. Well done children!
Four Sides or Not!
This week we have been looking at 2d shapes. We have talked about the properties of the shapes, including corners and sides. We then sorted various shapes according to the number of sides they had.
Exploring Colour and Texture
In Reception we have been using watercolours to explore mixing and different textures when we are painting. The children loved the delicate colours the paints made. Clancy and Isabella particularly enjoyed this activity.

Making Decorations in Nursery B
This week the children are enjoying making handprint salt dough decorations to hang on their Christmas trees at home. We will be painting and decorating our decorations next week.
A Balancing Act

Building Work in Reception
We love using the big blocks in the outdoor resource area. Here we have created a strong house made from bricks, concrete and a tiled roof! This should keep out the big bad wolf!
