Palm Sunday
After listening to the scripture about Palm Sunday, the children re-enacted Jesus arriving into Jerusalem on a donkey. The children waved palms and shouted “Hosanna” as Jesus arrived.
Writing special messages in RE
As part of our work in RE, we have been talking about loving our neighbour and how we can show love to one another. We wrote special messages to one another and put them in the post box to send.

Rockets
As part of our work on space for British Science Week the children have enjoyed building a rocket in the garden. We have also watched parts of the Tim PeakeLive ~Space Lesson on BBC telling us all about how to become an astronaut and what its like in space!
Shrove Tuesday
In celebration of Shrove Tuesday, the children had a special visitor come in to school to make pancakes with the children. We talked about what ingredients we need to make pancakes and how they are cooked. The children choose their toppings and ate their pancakes together!
Puppets!
The dream cave has been transformed this week with an uppers theatre and lots of hand puppets. The children are excited to put on shows for each other.

Spring has Sprung!

Sensory Smelling
This week we have created a sensory smelling station in our garden. We have put several herbs and spices in jars and encouraged the children to smell them and talk about them. They loved the coco powder but the garlic salt was not so popular!
