Designing a lunch box
In DT we have been exploring different materials and whether they would be suitable for creating a lunchbox.
In this lesson, we looked at how applying wax to denim would make it waterproof.

Today we explored how to separate materials from a mixture.
We looked at different methods including: filtering, sieving and magnets.
We then used each method to separate a mixture of sand, pebbles and pins.

Mayan Dance
This term, we have been exploring a range of types of dance.
In this lesson, we created routines inspired by the elements. The children though about how their movements could replicate the weather or nature that influenced their dance.

This week, we investigated which materials are soluble.
Use a range of different materials, we observed what happened when they were added to water.

We have been creating collages using different strips of paper and pictures. The collages represent natural features such as the bark of the tree.
