Today, Year 5 were visited by Sophie from, ‘Send my friend to school.’ We discussed the sustainable development goals, focusing on goal 4, ‘Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education.’

We have been learning to pray in school.  The children have been practising the sign of the cross and spending special time talking to God.  Sometimes they choose to spend a little time saying a private prayer at our special RE table.  

This week the children in CAFOD club have been designing posters to promote Fairtrade Fortnight. Buying fairtrade products means that producers are guaranteed a fair price for their produce. Fairtrade Fortnight runs from 21st September to 4th October. We are encouraging children to look out for…

Nursery A and B children came together this morning in our forest school area for a wonderful time of friendship and exploring. For many it was their first visit to our forest school area.  

There will be some happy, tired and muddy children this evening! 

We have spent time learning the sign of the cross prayer in nursery as part of our prayers and learning in RE. The children have also been very busy learning their morning, lunchtime and home time prayers both in school and at home.  

The children in Nursery A have had a very busy time settling in, discovering and exploring our nursery environment.  The children were very excited by the opening of our new ‘Autumn Outdoor Cafe’ today!

The children enjoyed their daily collective worship today by gathering together and taking part in tactile prayer. Tactile prayer such as gentle colouring has a soothing quality that promotes a sense of stillness, creating the conditions for a more reflective and receptive prayer experience.…
