Autumn Fun
The children in nursery have been learning about autumn and have collected lots of autumnal treasures. We have had fun outdoors looking for more signs of autumn, finding mini-beasts, dancing in the wind with our scarves and reading in the sunshine.

Snack Time in Nursery A
Here are some of our nursery children enjoying snack together. Snack time in nursery invites us to turn take, communicate, listen and sometimes try different foods. We develop independence by choosing our own snack and by washing up our own plates and cups when we have finished.
Starting our phonics journey!
This week the children have started their phonics journey and have been introduced to the first sounds. The children have then independently created the letter sounds using loose parts and through mark making! What superstars!
Self portraits using natural resources
As part of our RSHE work, the children have been looking at self - portraits and what makes us special and unique. The children then used loose parts to create a self portraits!
Recognising Colours
This week we are looking at different colours and sorting colours into groups. At home we are talking about our favourite colours and drawing pictures to share with our friends.
Let’s Explore
This week we have been looking closely at different coloured leaves and pine cones. We also found a beautiful caterpillar in our outdoor area.
The Nursery A Camping Adventure Continues…
We have been enjoying our camping adventure so much, that today we learnt how to put a tent up and erected it together in our nursery garden. Ms Pankiv, our nursery link governor arrived just at the right time to get involved too!

We have been taking advantage of this week’s wonderful weather and spending lots of time learning outside. The children have been exploring nature and using their imaginations to create delicious campfire soups, taking turns to add ingredients and stir. We have been singing campfire songs…
Exploring our new mud kitchen
The children have loved exploring our new mud kitchen in our outdoor area! The children have engaged in pretend and messy play by cooking with mud and water. Our mud kitchen has been great for the children to develop their fine motor skills and engage in role play.
