World Book Day in Nursery A
As part of our World Book Day activities, we took part in a book swap. In nursery we spread all the books out in our circle and each had chance to choose a new book to read and take home. We love books in our nursery!

To celebrate World Book Day we took part in The Great Big Footy and Booky Quiz.
Afterwards, we created our own quiz questions linked to football and books.
Next, we designed our reading identity outlining favourite books, authors and where we like to read.

Shrove Tuesday
In celebration of Shrove Tuesday, the children had a special visitor come in to school to make pancakes with the children. We talked about what ingredients we need to make pancakes and how they are cooked. The children choose their toppings and ate their pancakes together!
Nursery B’s Shrove Tuesday
Today the children have been learning about Shrove Tuesday and Lent. Together we made pancakes and all had a turn at mixing, whisking, pouring and eating!
Puppets!
The dream cave has been transformed this week with an uppers theatre and lots of hand puppets. The children are excited to put on shows for each other.
Pancake Play
In preparation for pancake day tomorrow we have set up a tuff tray for the children to practise their cooking skills!

We have been learning about printmaking in Art this afternoon. We have been using over printing and relief printing to produce some wonderful artwork.
Nursery B Exploring Finger Painting
This half term the children are exploring finger painting. They are talking about the different colours and describing textures and shapes. Some children are creating their own images such as "my mummy", "a rainbow" and "hearts".
Using our Bodies in the Spring Sunshine
We have enjoyed using our gross motor skills on the climbing frame today. We have seen some brilliant climbing and balancing.

We have been collecting natural things to use in our sculptures next week. We are looking at the artist Louise Bourgeois.
