This week we worked on our vaulting. It was so much fun.

Today we explored ‘The Hand Jive’, a popular dance in the rock ‘n’ roll genre.

We broke the dance down into its different moves before putting it all together as a class.

Well done to our Year 6 children who took part in the South Sefton Sporthall Athletics today. They all gave 100% effort in the different track and field events, showing positive attitudes and encouraging one another.  

In this lesson, we considered how each action could be performed.

We continued to use counts to help stay in time with one another.

Year 1 Yoga

Year 1 enjoyed a wonderful yoga session this morning. They listened carefully to the instructions and the music whilst making the different positions. 

We had an amazing time working with Emily from Beth Tweddle.

The children used a range of equipment to practise controlling during a shooting action.

Year 1 PE Sending and Receiving 

The children enjoyed playing the ‘bucket ball’ and ‘hit the bucket’ games in PE this afternoon. 

Today the children wore their Christmas jumpers and took part in the School Games Santa Dash event. They had lots of fun walking and running with their friends followed by a surprise visit to see Father Christmas. How exciting!

The children explored using vaults, the climbing frame and the ropes.

The children enjoyed exploring  and practising a range of rolls during their lesson led by Emily from Beth Tweddle Gymnastics.
