Today we have been practising throwing and catching skills with a bean bag. We moved the bean bag around our bodies, passed it from one hand to the other and then threw the bean bag up in the air catching it with both hands. We also used hoops to practise throwing into a target. Well done children…

We have been working on our fore hand tennis skills.

Well done to our Year 6 netball team for competing in the South Sefton Netball League. The girls made fantastic progress throughout the year and enjoyed playing competitively. 

In P.E this week, we continued to work on our vault techniques.

The children practiced using a range of different apparatus. 

Year 1 have enjoyed playing invasion games this afternoon. In pairs they had to pass the ball to each other through the gate. 

As part of our gymnastics lesson, the children developed their vaulting and rolling techniques.

They focused on the position of their hands and feet and finishes when landing.

Today the children used the climbing frame to help improve and practise their balancing and climbing skills. They used their strength and coordination to move around the different areas whilst having fun in the sun.

Parachute play provides opportunities for cooperation, participation, turn taking and creativity.  We are developing our gross motor skills and our listening skills.  The children loved hiding underneath it too!  

We have started our dance unit of work called machines. It’s been great fun so far and we have created some amazing routines.

We have enjoyed using our gross motor skills on the climbing frame today.  We have seen some brilliant climbing and balancing.

We enjoyed improving our basic skills in the sunshine.

Today the children have enjoyed a fun filled day with the Hogwarts experience.

Once the children were sorted into their houses, each class took part in a Quidditch experience.

They played a range of games representing the game of Quidditch.
