The children are having a wonderful week outdoors in forest school with the  sunshine. They are exploring with water, playing in the mud kitchen, practising balancing, playing parachute games and building strong friendships. They also enjoyed story time outdoors with an ice-pop to cool down. 

What a brilliant afternoon the children had at Sports Day!

What a fantastic morning we had at sports day.  Well done children you were brilliant!

Well done to the children who took part in the Golf Sixes competition yesterday at Aintree Golf Centre. Both year groups did fantastic and came second place.

We are all very excited about our Sport's day. We spent some time this week preparing for the day and we had a great time. 

This week year 1 started gymnastics. We had lots of fun warming up and learning about different ways to travel. The children used various apparatus to travel around the hall. 
 

Year 1 Invasion Games

The children enjoyed developing their ball skills in PE. We looked at how to move around in spaces using a ball. We used the balls to roll the ball around our ankles and then we played cross the swamp. 

Year 3 enjoying yoga sessions. 

The children are enjoying the warmer spring weather and are having lots of fun outdoors. They are listening to stories, playing together, practising ball skills, sharing and taking turns. 

This week in P.E, the children were practicing a range of balance and rolls.

Isabella C 5A ‘My favourite part of the lesson was working on my headstands.’

This week the children brought in their favourite teddies from home so we could learn a new song together - Teddy Bear's Picnic. The children danced and sang with their teddies and we share stories and snack time together. 

Continuing on from last week we developed our ball skills by bouncing and catching the ball before travelling whilst bouncing and controlling the ball.
