Fruit lollies were a perfect choice to make on our warm week in nursery A. The children used cutting skills to prepare the soft fruit and distributed them into ice lolly moulds, after calculating how much fruit we would need. After that the children practised their pouring by adding water before freezing them. Some children enjoyed trying fruits they had not eaten before. The following day, we sat in the cool shade of our beautiful nursery tree to enjoy the tasty treat. Some children transferred their skills into our playdough and home areas by making their own ice lollies with playdough and ‘freezing them’ in our role play area. They then treated the dolls to the refreshing lollies!
