Nursery Learning Outdoors
The children have had lots of fun playing and exploring outdoors. In music we have been learning about percussion instruments so the children wanted to hear the sounds the tractor tyre could make. They have also been using the trees to play hide and seek.

Food and Nutrition: Flatbreads
Today we have been discussing, ‘Why are our diets so different?‘
In small groups we worked together to create flatbreads using flour, salt, olive oil and cold water.
The children enjoyed working in groups and mixing the ingredients and kneading the dough.

Length
This week for maths we have been exploring length.
We looked objects that were long and short and then went into the classroom and found other objects to compare.
Reception Orienteering
This Monday we were lucky to take part in a class orienteering activity.
The children were split into groups and tasked with finding various animals around the site.
The weather was kind and we all had a great time searching for the animals and remembering them.

We have been learning about French skipping in PE today. We watched the different songs on the video and tried to copy the actions.
Musical Moments
The children have enjoyed exploring different sounds on our new music wall that the children created together this week. We listened to the sounds the wooden items made when hit and described how they are different to the sounds created by striking metal objects.
Nature Art
This week we are learning about the work of Andy Goldsworthy known as Nature’s Artist. Inspired by his work we have been using a variety of natural materials to create faces and patterns.
Year 2 Science: Hygiene Investigation
The children learnt about the importance of hygiene in order to keep healthy and then they carried out an investigation to show the effect of soap on germs.
