In Nursery we love taking on different roles. Throughout the year we use hats, bags, shoes, clothes to be whoever we want to be. In the run up to Christmas we have introduced a variety of more recognisable costumes into nursery and the children have had so much fun. One area of our classroom has become a stable with an RE focus and related Christmas story props and costumes. Another area has become Santa’s workshop and has been a hive of wrapping, writing and role play activity all week. We have been improving our speaking and listening skills, our fine motor skills when mark making, cutting and sticking, crafting, using play dough and Christmas cutters. Today some cardboard boxes became a very well stocked Santa’s sleigh! What an exciting time of year for our nursery children!
